Results from research studies and polls done in Muslim majority countries resulted in the following stats:
* More than 60 million Muslims viewed the Islamic State favorably.
* 81% of Muslims supported the Islamic State.
* If they supported the Islamic State, they were asked why. The answer was because the Islamic State follows the teachings of the Quran and Muhammad.
* The majority polled also voted that they approved further conquests by the Islamic State – why? because Islamic Doctrine says Muslims must conquer and enforce Islam.
* More than 700 million Muslims answered yes, they wanted Islamic Law to be the law of the land.

Last year a large Islamist insurgency awoke in Burkina Faso, rendering large parts of the country ungovernable, especially in areas bordering Mali. The Islamist insurgency has killed hundreds and forced nearly a million from their homes. Christians have become the primary targets for these type of attacks.
