After the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood came to America in 1962, the first organization they created was the Muslim Student Association.(1) Via the Muslim Student Association (MSA) the Muslim Brotherhood began infiltrating our universities to promote their agenda--part of which is jihad.
Today there are more than 800 MSAs on American university campuses and they serve as a recruiting arm for jihadists.(2)
The following is a "short list" of well-known Muslim Student Association members who have been involved in or have conducted terrorist activities (in alphabetical order, not by severity of crimes).(3)(4)
Abdurahman Alamoudi: served as the Muslim Student Association national president 1982-1983. Alamoudi publicly declared his support for Hamas and Hezbollah in 1999 and in 2004 he was convicted as a financier for al-Qaeda. He worked in the Clinton and Bush administrations and had exclusive access to President Clinton.(3)(4)
Anwar Al-Awlaki: served as president of the Colorado State University Muslim Student Association and served as imam at the George Washington University's Muslim Student Association.
Al-Alwaki delivered sermons that were attended by two of the 9/11 hijackers and by the Fort Hood shooter, Nidal Malik Hasan.
Al-Alwaki played a role in the Fort Hood massacre of 2009, the failed Christmas Day underwear-bomber plot of 2009, and the attempted Times Square bombing of 2010.(3)(4)
Al-Awlaki was a senior al-Qaeda recruiter, a designated Global Terrorist, and was Imam at Dar al Hijra mosque in Virginia -- where FBI leadership participated in the "Muslim Outreach Program," a program meant to develop "good relationships with Muslims" and turn a blind eye to their radical activity.(5)
The U.S. government considered Imam al-Awlaki a “moderate Muslim.” Awlaki has given presentations at the Pentagon, the U.S. Capital, and he worked with many government officials.(4)
Sami Omar Al-Hussayen: president of the Muslim Student Association at the University of Idaho. He operated nearly a dozen Arabic-language websites for anti-American, pro-suicide-bombing imams.
Ali Asad Chandia: served as president of the Montgomery College (Maryland) Muslim Student Association in 1998 and 1999. He was convicted on three separate counts of conspiracy, giving material support to a terrorist group, and being part of a Northern Virginia jihadi network.
Zachary Chesser: convicted of attempting to provide material support to the Somali terrorist group al-Shabaab and soliciting attacks on “South Park” producers.
Adam Gadahn: an al-Qaida spokesman who is on the FBI’s "Most Wanted List" for treason and material support to al-Qaida
Omar Hammami: an American-born member of al-Shabaab, the Somali jihadi group aligned with al-Qaeda. Hammami served as president of the Muslim Student Association at the University of South Alabama. He was indicted on charges of providing material support to al-Shabaab and is designated by the U.S. Treasury Department for his terrorist connections. He also went by the name Abu Mansoor al-Amriki (Amriki means American; mansoor means victorious).
Syed Hashmi: pled guilty to providing material support to al-Qaida.
Wael Hamza Julaidan: served as president of the University of Arizona Muslim Student Association in the mid-1980s, went on to become one of al Qaeda’s co-founders and its logistics chief.
In September 2002, the U.S. government listed Julaidan as a specially designated global terrorist, identifying him as a close associate of Osama bin Laden and other al-Qaeda leaders, and as a director of the Rabita Trust, which had already been designated as a terrorist finance entity that supported al-Qaeda.
Ziyad Khaleel: president of the Columbia College (Missouri) Muslim Student Association, was a representative of the Islamic Association for Palestine (a Hamas front). He also registered and operated the English-language website for Hamas and served as al-Qaeda’s chief procurement agent in the United States in the 1990s.
Khaleel purchased a $7,500 satellite phone for Osama bin Laden. That phone, dubbed by intelligence authorities as the “jihad phone,” was used to plan the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings.
Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad: birth name Carlos Bledsoe, was a member of the Muslim Student Association at Tennessee State University in Nashville. Bledsoe went on to receive terrorist training at a jihadist training camp in Yemen and returned to the US and murdered US Army Private Andy Long outside a Little Rock, Arkansas recruiting office on June 1, 2009.
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed: the mastermind of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and number three man in al-Qaeda. He was a member of the Muslim Student Association at North Carolina A&T.
Syed Maaz Shah: secretary of the Muslim Student Association at the University of Texas-Dallas. He was arrested in 2006 for his involvement in paramilitary training at an Islamic jihadi camp where he was preparing to join the Taliban in order to fight U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
Aafia Siddiqui: captured in 2008 with explosives, deadly chemicals, and a list of New York City landmarks; was convicted of attempted murder. Siddiqui was described as “al-Qaeda’s Mata Hari” and “Lady al-Qaeda.” Siddiqui had previously been radicalized by the Muslim Student Association at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where she studied neuroscience.
Ramy Zamzam: a Howard University dental student who served as the president of the Muslim Student Association, D.C. Council. He was arrested in Pakistan along with four other D.C. area men (all of whom were active in the Muslim Student Association). All five were charged with plotting to join the Jaish-e-Muhammed terrorist group with plans to attack U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan.
Muslim Student Associations on American university campuses are terrorist recruiting centers. There are more than 800 of these on universities throughout America.
