REPORT: The chemical attack was not conducted by the Syrian Army or government
April 9, 2018
Many of the civilians who were released over the weekend had been captured just northeast of Douma, where al-Qaeda and the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood (aka Free Syrian Army) conducted a massive massacre of civilians in 2013.
In green on the map is the area that has been held by al-Qaeda and the Free Syrian Army since 2013. Al-Qaeda and the Free Syrian Army have since merged into a coalition army called Jaish al-Islam after receiving massive numbers of mercenary fighters, funded and provided by Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Douma is in the small red circle and is where the massacre took place in 2013 by the terrorists.

For five years, the Syrian Armed Forces painstakingly worked to free its civilians trapped in Ghouta. Terrorists used civilians as shields and prevented the Syrian Armed Forces from entering.
After more than a year of conducting SWAT-like operations which would gain access inside, this last week the Syrian Armed Forces gained full control of the area. They then conducted negotiations with Jaish al-Islam stipulating that civilians would be released and the terrorists would receive transportation out. Over the last several days, the terrorists have been transported to the border with Turkey.
Note: Turkey takes these people and passes them off as 'refugees' later.
During the end stage battles for Ghouta, Syrian Army field commanders report that units of the Syrian Army operating just east and west of Ghouta carried out special and concentrated military operations, and waged several battles in fortified areas, underground battles, and across Barada River and in the sewage system.
The terrorists had fortifications built in the sewers and had dug an extensive tunnel system.
During the last two days before the civilians were released, Army units penetrated the first and second defensive lines of Jaish al-Islam, targeting the terrorists' main tunnel which extending 16 feet, which then divided into sub-tunnels. Each of the sub-tunnels were about 2000 feet in length, fully equipped, and linked to barricaded terrorist dens. All of the terrorist combat lines were barricaded.
The Syrian Army found a large built up area attached to one tunnel which was used to prepare cars for suicide bombings--cars were inside with bombs attached. Just one week ago a massive car bomb went off in Damascus city killing and wounding several civilians.
The Syrian Armed Forces have been working to free its citizens for five years. It's absurd to think that they would use chemicals in the very area they have been working in to free their citizens and their own family members. Many of the army members have family in Ghouta and this weekend were united with their family members for the first time since 2013.
Many volunteered for this battle for Ghouta, just as army members from Aleppo volunteered for the battle for Aleppo in 2016. They are fighting for the liberation of their own family, friends and neighborhoods.
