The US has spent billions of dollars arming and training Islamic mercenaries who from the beginning, have been massacring Christians.
The Last Crusade: Will America be fighting for or against the Christians?
In October of 2013, after more than two years of brutal war in Syria at the hands of Islamist armies trying to impose an Islamic State, a giant bronze statue of Jesus was placed on Mt. Sedneya in Syria.
The statue can be seen from Lebanon, Jordan and Israel. Sedneya overlooks the route Christian pilgrims took from Constantinople to Jerusalem during ancient times. Syrian Christians believe that the second advent of Christ will happen on the mountain on the pilgrimage route. Christians from all over the world come to Sedneya for healing and renewal of faith.

In 2012, Turkey’s President Erdogan and Saudi Arabian prince Mohammad bin Salman joined forces in backing terrorist groups trying to overthrow the Syrian government.
The first "rebel" army, the Free Syrian Army, a name purposefully chosen to fool the West, was a coalition of Muslim Brotherhood and al-Qaeda fighters.
In 2015, Saudi Arabia and Turkey created a coalition army of foreign mercenary fighters recruited from several Muslim countries. The army, Jaish al-Fateh, consisted of several large divisions so it could spread itself throughout Syria. In this way, every region of Syria was infiltrated.

The red dots on the map mark regions with large populations of Christians. The grey region on the map is the Syrian desert and sparsely populated.
From 2014 to 2017, the border crossings at the Turkish border were under the full control of the terrorist armies. The terrorist armies controlled who entered Syria and who was let out. Christians were never let out of the border with Turkey. The terrorists would capture Christians and commit horrific atrocities: boiling them in oil, drowning them in buckets of water, burning them to death, beheading them and crucifying them. Christians could not pass through the Jordanian border because training camps for the Islamist armies were on the Jordanian border.(1) |
Starting in 2012, al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood (aka the Free Syrian Army) held the border with Lebanon. Throughout 2012 and 2013 the Free Syrian Army made constant attacks on Christian villages and committed many massacres.
Also in 2012, the Obama administration and the CIA began backing the Free Syrian Army, and by 2013, the US was funding, training and supplying weapons to the the Islamist armies.(1)

In January 2012, Russia's President Putin was called to a meeting with Patriarch Kirill (Russia's Orthodox Church Patriarch) at Moscow’s main cathedral. During this meeting, the Patriarch told Putin that every five minutes one Christian was dying for his or her faith in some part of the world, specifically in countries such as Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Pakistan and India; and that Christians are facing repressions all over the world.
Patriarch Krill asked Putin to make the protection of Christians one of Russia's foreign policy directions. Putin told the Patriarch that he would. Since this meeting, the Russian Orthodox Church has fully reclaimed its traditional role in Russia. The Church has repeatedly described Russia's fight against ISIS and other Islamist groups as a "holy war".
Vsevolod Chaplin, head of the the Russian Orthodox Church's Public Affairs Department said:
"The fight with terrorism is a holy battle and today our country is perhaps the most active force in the world fighting it. The Russian Federation has made a responsible decision on the use of armed forces to defend the People of Syria from the sorrows caused by the arbitrariness of terrorists. Christians are suffering in the region with the kidnapping of clerics and the destruction of churches."
Starting in September of 2015, all weapons heading towards Syria were blessed by the Russian Orthodox church.

Note: In 1973, the Syrian government removed Islam from the Syrian Constitution. Since that time, all Islamist groups have declared that any Syrian government who upholds the secular Constitution and treats Christians with equality must be removed.
More on Sedneya and the giant statue of Jesus:
The word Sedneya is from the Aramaic language, a language which early Christians used to spread the gospel. Many Syrian Christians continue to speak Aramaic to this day. Aramaic was the language of Jesus. Sedneya Mountain is filled with caves and early Christians used these caves to escape from persecution. Today the caves can be seen as one climbs to the top of the monastery. The Monastery dates to the 3rd century and the first structures for worship were built in 529. The Convent of Our Lady of Saidneya was built by Justinian, the Byzantine emperor, in 547 AD. Justinian had two visions of Mary, one of which directed him as to where to build the church, and one regarding its design.
The statue of Jesus was funded by the Russian Orthodox Church and Russian government.
